Photographic Mumbo Jumbo and Wordy Ramblings

Today marks the seventh year of my blog's existence. For what started out as a "Let's give this a try..." sort of thing, I'm amazed I've kept it going this long. I always did have a knack for keeping a journal though. These seven years have been full of joy, fun, travel, celebration, change and even a little sadness. A few of the highs include celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary in Yosemite, selling our first home and moving into our second, meeting seven new nieces and nephews, being a tourist in New York City and San Francisco, going back to school, meeting awesome friends through Flickr, falling in love with cooking, becoming a kayaker and a disc golfer and getting a dream (if only temporary) job contracting as a photographer with the US Forest Service.

I've had fun going back through my archives for the past couple weeks, deciding which photos best describe the last seven years of my life. Narrowing it down to nine a year was a difficult task, but one that proved to be full of great memories, melancholy moments and times when I can't believe how quickly life goes by. I could go on and on and on but I think I'll just let my photos speak for me.

Originally, my blog description was "photographic mumbo jumbo and wordy ramblings by someone with a few cameras and many unsubstantiated opinions." Well, here's to another seven years of that.
