Busy Bee

If anyone is reading this anymore, I bet you thought I forgot about my blog. Well, it's not true. I haven't forgotten, I've just been too busy. I've been busy having fun and getting used to a new job. I haven't been calling myself a photographer for very long, mostly because I wasn't making any money doing it, but as of May 14, I officially became a bona fide photographer. I'm now working for and loving a local but worldwide company, Backcountry.com, shooting products. Although shooting clothed-mannequins in a studio isn't really my forte, it's decent money, the people are great and the deals are sweet, so why not?! In the month I've been there, I've already bought two pair of Chacos, a laptop/overnight bag, a Timbuk2 Messenger Bag, an Ocean Kayak tandem sit-on-top (our third kayak!), two paddles, two PFDs and some scupper stoppers. Next on my list is luggage, a bike rack, a new fleece, a new rain jacket and some socks. Basically, I'm working for the gear if you couldn't tell. It's a great company and I'm really enjoying myself.

I've also been traveling a bit. Trav and I went to Colorado again for the third time in a year and hung out at Rocky Mountain National Park and Garden of the Gods. We saw Big Head Todd and the Monsters at Red Rocks again too. Last week, I spent three glorious days on the Oregon Coast with my dad, my nephew Brandon, and his buddy Josh. Here's an arbitrary sunset shot of Haystock Rock on Cannon Beach. This day was our last day here and it was the first blue-sky day we had the whole time. It was beautiful!
