Other Things

Ever since posting my birthday list, I've thought up a bunch of other things I'd like to do this year. Things like trying a new recipe weekly, and definitely making flatbread and potato leek pizza, eating in more and out far less, beginning a b/w project with my Lubitel, and hosting a party on my new deck to celebrate its completion (when it's finished of course)... I'd also like to try my hand at making my own stamps, so that'll be an all-day Saturday project one of these days. I can't wait to get started on these and all of my official birthday list things.

I've spent the last two evenings scanning like a mad woman. I got my scanner back after two weeks in the repair shop. I don't know how I survived so long without it, but it's working like a champ now. The image above was on a roll from my Banner, my blurry, blurry Banner, that I shot a few weeks ago. As soon as I saw this frame, I fell in love. I can't believe I got something so crisp (relatively) from my Banner. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite images I've ever shot, and my husband even peeled his eyes away from a fierce game of Tetris to check it out just now. I love winter, and snow, and pines, and the blur and bokeh just do something for me. Once I get working through the rest of my negatives, I'll have more to share. Things from San Francisco and Pacific Grove, Capitol Reef National Park, and a few things from closer to home. Stay tuned...
