Texas-gram

We spent a long weekend in Conroe, Texas and I think we would have stayed forever had we not known about the impending summer humidity issue. The weather couldn't have been nicer while we were there. Save for a quick downpour the first day, we enjoyed temperatures in the mid-70s, cool breezes and very little humidity. But the things I loved most - aside from our awesome and generous hosts (my husband's cousin and his wife and adorable kids) - were the trees. My, oh my, the trees. Oaks and pines and far as the eye could see. I couldn't get over it.

We went to the aquarium, the zoo, the lake, the park, the forest and swanky Hubbell & Hudson. I'm still rationing the bulk candies I bought there because of two reasons: I can't find gummy sour cherry coke bottles where I live and I can't believe I paid $6 for 12 mini peanut butter cups.

It was a lovely vacation, much needed and much enjoyed. I shot a good stack of Polaroids that have yet to be scanned, but since this space is long overdue for an update, I thought I'd post a few of my Instagram pics. Keep an eye out for the Polaroids later on...
